Abstract

Introduction: The Role of Alexander Discipline in Contemporary Orthodontics

The contemporary orthodontic world offers Clinicians multiple technological evolutions, especially in the digital field, which offer tools and protocols that are described as more efficient and "simplifying" both for the diagnostic and therapeutic phases. If these evolutions make it possible to make our orthodontic movements more efficient to a certain extent, on the other hand we must understand them exclusively as "means" by which we can achieve our goals. In fact, in the diagnostic definition of these objectives and of the dental and skeletal limits on which to base the therapeutic choices, it is more than ever necessary to know the solid principles that our Masters have taught us and which are proven by decades of clinical and scientific evidence. Among these dictates, the principles of the Alexander Discipline absolutely remain beacons to guide us wisely in this wonderful and at the same time delicate historical phase of our profession. We will share publications and clinical cases.
